What Is a Squishy Dumpling?
A squishy dumpling is a soft, squeezable toy shaped like a plump little dumpling, usually finished with a simple smiling face. It’s part of the broader family of squishy toys – soft, slow-rebounding shapes made for squeezing, pressing, and stretching. These coloring pages are original kawaii-style illustrations inspired by that general look, drawn for coloring rather than as artwork of any specific branded product. This soft, rounded style is part of the broader kawaii aesthetic popular in stationery, plushies, and art.
Why This Collection Works So Well
Round, food-shaped characters with simple faces are an easy win for young colorers – no complicated backgrounds, just big friendly shapes to fill in. Having 42 designs in one collection also means kids (and adults) can pick a favorite pose – calm and simple, or silly and full of motion – rather than being stuck with just one option.
