About This Rainbow Unicorn Coloring Page
The design shows a single unicorn frozen in a joyful leap, front legs stretched forward and mane flowing behind it as it jumps over a wide, multi-band rainbow. Its long spiral horn points toward the sky, and its tail curls playfully behind it, giving the whole page a real sense of motion and fun. Learn more about Unicorn traditions around the world.
On either side of the leaping unicorn, two puffy clouds fill out the scene and add a soft, dreamy backdrop to the rainbow arch. The clean black and white line art leaves the rainbow, the clouds, and the unicorn’s mane completely open for kids to fill in however they like.
This design fits right in with Coloring Glade’s growing collection of unicorn coloring pages, and pairs nicely with the site’s other fantasy and kids coloring pages for a full magical coloring session. Browse more in our Kids Coloring Pages, or explore the full coloring pages library.
Why Kids Love Rainbow Unicorn Coloring Pages
Kids are drawn to unicorns because they feel special and magical, like something straight out of a favorite storybook. A unicorn leaping over a rainbow adds even more excitement, since it feels like a snapshot from an adventure rather than a still, quiet picture.
There are no rules for unicorn colors, so kids can go with a classic white coat and pastel mane or turn the whole unicorn into a rainbow of its own. The sky, clouds, and rainbow bands offer even more room to experiment with bright or soft color combinations.
Coloring inside the unicorn’s mane, horn, and the curved rainbow bands helps kids practice fine motor control and staying within lines. It also builds focus and patience as they work through each small section of the busy, detailed scene.

Tips for Coloring
There is no right or wrong way to color this unicorn scene, so kids should feel free to experiment and have fun with it.
Give the Mane Some Sparkle
Try coloring the unicorn’s mane and tail in several colors instead of just one for a fun rainbow effect. Light purples, pinks, and blues layered together can make the mane feel extra magical.
Make the Sky Feel Big
Color the clouds in soft grays, blues, or even leave parts of them white for a fluffy, floating look. A light blue background around the clouds can help the whole sky feel open and bright.
Add Extra Magical Touches
Kids can draw in tiny stars, sparkles, or dots around the unicorn to make it feel like it is flying through a magical sky. Adding a few extra clouds or rainbow sparkles is an easy way to make the page their own.
